Tenesia is a lifelong resident of Kansas City, Missouri, a wife, mother of two boys, and a grandmother two. She has a true passion for helping others succeed so when she’s not working, she’s mentoring middle school girls, and helping her community through various acts of kindness. But after attending several conferences and hearing about national home buying studies done on different races she realized her true life’s purpose was to help ALL people become homeowners. So she decided to focus on KC Urban Core. In 2017 she opened her office on Linwood to better serve the community and help bridge the gap in homeownership with education and resources. In 2018 she started to dream bigger and wanted to reach more people after completely understanding that there gaps in more than just homeownership in certain areas but also in the small business and job sectors as well. In commemorating the passing of the Fair Housing Act of 1968 she created The Kansas City Bus Tour and Home Show, which is a bi-annual event that combines home buying education, financial literacy, small business education, job opportunities, city resources and programs, contractor resources, on-site pre-approvals, realtor expectations, a bus tour around the KC Urban Core to view renovated and affordable homes for sale and FUN! As of December 2019 the tour has created 88 new homeowners in Kansas City and help get funding for investors to complete projects to help bring Pride to neighborhoods and Stability to families. Her plan is to grow the tour to other cities and expand on the KRG Vision by growing a team and opening more offices.
